Location

AndBeyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge is a luxurious permanent lodge located in the Serengeti West area of northern Tanzania, situated amongst a riverine forest on a hippo-filled oxbow lake stream. The lodge offers guest accommodation in 10 suites and provides access to a good range of safari areas.

Getting there

To reach the lodge, guests can take a light aircraft to the nearby Grumeti Airstrip, which has daily flight connections with Kigali (for gorillas in Rwanda), Manyara, Tarangire, Ruaha, and Selous (for more safari), Zanzibar (for tropical coastline), Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, and Nairobi (for international arrivals and departures). From the airstrip, it is a vehicle safari of around 15 minutes into camp, with a good chance of early animal sightings along the way.

Accommodation

The lodge features 10 spacious and elegant suites, each with a private deck overlooking the river. The suites are tastefully decorated with a blend of traditional African and modern design elements and feature en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, and comfortable king-sized beds.
